This plotted artwork resembles the surface of an old quarry after a long, hot day. It contains dark earth, burgundy mineral shadow, ochre, sand, and cold grey-blue traces of stone. The painting seems to capture not the landscape itself, but the memory of the material: how sunlight enters the stone, dries it, and leaves layers of time within it.
